Situation
A public-sector coal mining subsidiary operating in the Surguja coal belt had a holding yard of retired heavy equipment — dozers, dumpers, and Poclain excavators — some idle for years. The equipment was tendered for disposal through a formal auction process requiring a GST-registered buyer with proven heavy-dismantling capability.
Scope
Shahin Scrap secured the lot through the auction and committed to a six-week window for on-site cutting, segregation, and complete removal, including compliance documentation for every consignment leaving the premises.
Execution
Our cutting crews worked inside the demarcated yard with the client’s safety protocols. Each vehicle was drained of fluids, stripped of non-ferrous components (copper windings, aluminium radiators, brass fittings), and cut for transport. Every truckload was weighed and documented before dispatch.
Outcome
Fourteen heavy vehicles — roughly 320 tonnes of recoverable metal — were cleared within the committed window. The yard was handed back clean, with a full disposal record set delivered to the client’s stores department.
